About
Company Information
Welcome to All About OSHA. The purpose of this blog is twofold. First, it will help you understand and implement OSHA regulations at your workplace. Second, it will show you how to reduce insurance rates, increase productivity, and improve employee morale.
All of this from a safety program – YES!
For about 40 years now, OSHA has developed regulations to help protect American workers. Now, with thousands of regulations in place, things have become a bit confusing to say the least. Unfortunately, most companies do not have the resources available to them to hire full time safety professionals or have the time or manpower to send employees to training offsite.
That’s why I created All About OSHA.
This blog contains a series of articles and downloadable products that make it easy for people without any background in OSHA compliance or safety management to quickly develop a customized safety program that complies with OSHA regulations and provides all the benefits advertised above.
Workplace safety is more than just protecting your workers, it is about protecting your company as well. One accident or injury could literally close your doors – FOREVER!
Protect your workers, and your company. You will find the solution to these problems here.
Ten Years and Counting
My Name is Nick Shuput. I am the founder of All About OSHA. I am a business analyst and management consultant.
It is hard to believe that it has been over ten years since a frustrating situation convinced me to launch All About OSHA. In 1997, I was working for a construction contractor who was required to submit a safety and health program to bid work. Not a safety professional by trade, I went to the OSHA website and found thousands of pages of information that made no sense to me. I realized that I could not be the only one frustrated with this information overload. So, I decided to start my own website, and after close to two years of research, All About OSHA was formed.
Information Overload
As the internet grew, so did All About OSHA. I started the website with a series of 6 downloadable guides and a model safety program. As the popularity of the website grew, I began to offer products from other manufacturers, and eventually All About OSHA became an e-commerce website hosting thousands of products from almost a dozen manufacturers. I felt proud that All About OSHA could help so many people in so many situations – worldwide! Unfortunately, I also realized that it was becoming just another overwhelmingly large, bloated, and confusing website. All About OSHA had so much information, and so many products, that it just confused and frustrated the visitors I wanted to help the most.
Going Back to My Roots
I decided to end the madness and in January of 2010 converted All About OSHA to a blog. I am also bringing back a refined and newly updated version of my original downloadable product line. I intend to keep the blog, and my products simple to use, yet comprehensive in scope. I want to share with you the simple, systematic steps I have learned from over a decade of research in safety management and 16 years of experience as a business analyst.
What to Expect From This Blog
In the links to the right, I have attempted to provide the basics about OSHA, Safety Programs, and Your Rights as Workers.
I am also providing a safety training blog that will cover a different topic every other week. Each weekday, we will cover important information on that topic – from self assessments, to a review of the OSHA regulations, to training information including toolbox talks and customizable Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, and a quiz and attendance record to document your efforts.
I hope you find All About OSHA a helpful resource. If you have any questions or comments feel free to drop me a line.
